Starwars the old Republic

First of all lets get some things out of the way.

One if you are a fan of Starwars get this game.
Two if you are a fan of MMORPG's get this game.
Three if you are a fan of deep Immersive stories get this game

Now I am currently playing as a level 12 Jedi consular called Endo'lar who is a young bright Jedi sage that upholds the Jedi teachings with the uppermost respect so this is written from that point of view as I have yet to try other classes.

Now that's out the way lets actually talk about the game and starwars.

Starwars as you know (unless you live under a rock) is one of the top kings of nerd fandom and rightly so, with some amazing movies, characters (lets not talk about jar jar) and a vast expansive universe it has set its self up to be one of the biggest franchises ever.

So now with the help of BioWare this giant of a franchise has made it's second move in to the MMORPG market with Starwars the old Republic. The game its self is set 300 years after the Kotor games and 3,500 before the Starwars film.

So armed with one of the biggest franchises is history and BioWare who have made some of the best story driven RPG games out there can this mmo make it in a market dominated by World of Warcraft?

In short yes it can and he's why.

While WoW has to this point crushed all who would try to topple it from it throne of whiny entitled kids and angry grown men, it has yet to take on some thing like this. So much so that world of Warcraft was like. "Quick get Chuck Norris."

The old Republic has gone out its way to make one hell of an experience, from beautiful visuals to a fully voice acted cast of NPC's a lot has been spent on this game and may well be one of the most expensive video games ever created. There are flaws but luckly most of them are nit picky and we will get to them soon but for now lets focus on the good parts.

The story is deep and griping I found my self not being abal to turn off the game to I had completed parts of the story I was on despite it being 4 am and my body begin me for sleep. Its all fully voice acted and has mostly done away with long boring quest text that normally makes me just want to skip it and just get on with the quest its self. It also makes you care about the NPC's you meet (unless you're one of them dark emo good guys who was never hugged by there daddy.) I found myself wanting to know what happened to people after I had finished there storeys and for the most part it lets you know in one way or another.

The visuals are just pucker every thing looks so nice even with every thing set to low it still looks good.

Now lets move on to the bad parts of the game.

The character creation screen and race's you can chose from are lacking in creativity and choice, in a universe as big as this that's kinda shameful and for some one like me who's really in to Starwars this is a big let down.

It can seem a little buggy at times my companions bag pack trys to wave in the wind like a cape as he moves but its still new and there's still time to patch things like this.

Well I hope you have enjoyed this little review and that my poor spelling and grammar skills have not sent you on a maddening descent to the dark side.

There will be a far better review coming to my youtube channle and this is just a draft so I can get some feedback from you guys.

Just finished saints row 3

I must say this game was a hell of a lot of fun. The writing was epic and funny, and the action was griping. The only thing it falls short on is...well shortness, SR2 felt much longer. But I'm just going to assume that was the trade off for a much more polished game.
